Challenge your friends with a quiz
You’re stuck inside and missing the weekly quiz at your local? Host your own and help end malaria whilst you flex those brain muscles. All you need is a Zoom account (or any other video conference software!) and you can invite your friends and family to take part in your quiz. You can charge teams to enter or you can ask participants to donate what they can.
Bake, Donate, Nominate
If you’re missing out on your Big Bug Bake this year because of lockdown don’t worry, because you can take it online! Bake one of your favourites, donate to help us end malaria, then post it on your social media with nominations asking your friends to do the same. You can share recipes, hold a virtual bake-off and even leave some treats on the doorsteps of self-isolating loved ones.
Tournaments or Game nights
Don’t worry if running isn’t your thing. Hop on a Zoom call with your closest friends where you can play any number of games online – host a poker tournament where part of the winnings are donated, find your favourite board games online, play video game tournaments where donating to Malaria No More UK is a forfeit. The possibilities are endless!
During the pandemic, the London Marathon and countless other events have had to be cancelled. So the UK’s charities have come together to bring you the 2.6 Challenge. The 2.6 Challenge starts on the 26th April can be any activity you like – from running 2.6 miles to holding an online workout with 26 of your friends. Whatever your age or ability, you can take part. After all, we’re not looking for superheroes. We’re looking for Home Heroes.
